Working as agency Project Lead and UX Designer for Work the World the client approached us to lead their site's responsive redesign. Work the World organises working holidays for medical students in the UK, Australia, USA and the Netherlands.
Early workshops with the client focussed on assessing the site templates and discussing the importance of each piece of content within them. From these we sketched wireframes for each mobile view and assessed how we would have to influence the existing content so that it was refined and made sense when viewed in a phone or tablet. Wireframes were iterated with the client and used to brief in the development team.
In ongoing work with the account, I undertook staff interviews to assess user types and produce personas so we could fully understand users' needs. I also worked closely with their analytics consultant to understand drop-offs in user journeys and together we planned a roadmap of work to resolve these. The relationship was consultative and collaborative and led to focussed sprints of work that delivered positive results for users and the business.
"Working with Ben has been a pleasure at all points. His ability to breakdown our core business needs and translate these into creative and innovative solutions is an enormous benefit. By taking the time to fully understand our company, it's services, customers and ethos, Ben was able to bring new ideas and suggestions to the table - they were always on brand and incredibly well structured. The acute attention to detail that was given at every step of the process of both the responsive project and the many subsequent projects, meant we felt consistently well appraised of the work and crucially in control, the importance of which cannot be understated for an organisation of our size. The results of the work produced went above and beyond our expectations and I would recommend Ben without hesitation."
