User centred product design for a new hotel booking site

User Experience Design / Visual Design / Responsive & Mobile Design

LowCostTravelGroup briefed in a redesign for a new product to support their existing holiday package retail site. A product, appealing to 'Meta' traffic (through comparison sites such as Trivago, Trip Advisor and Momondo) would open up a new set of global sales opportunities. I was briefed to enhance the UX of the site, bring it line with the new business model and create a new visual presence for the brand: Hoteling.

After a new identity was created by freelance branding designer Bryan Kidd, I designed and produced a fully responsive user interface and design styleguides for the development team to work from.

This new product and it's business model provided an increased yearly revenue and was translated to 40 countries and 15 languages.

Key Deliverables:

"Ben is an absolute pleasure to work with. I have a policy of hiring people who challenge me and Ben is always ready to help the team to push a design to the next level of excellence. He's equally at home with blue sky innovating as he is optimising existing experiences. He conducted one of the most thorough pieces of research into payment page best practices I have ever come across - and it worked! He has a natural capability of drawing the most out of research and getting to the heart of a problem. He also single handedly designed a new wesbite UI for us from the ground up. He's also a thoroughly nice guy to work with. He's firmly on my list of people to look up when I need UX expertise in the future."
